We have moved!

Well I am sure you have already heard, but our little family has made a transition to a new place! In November Matt came home one night and said. "So I need to talk to you about something." Uh OH! That is never a good way to start a conversation. He said, "I got offered a new job today." Okay......I said...."It's in Midland, isn't it??" "Yes", he said. "Okay.....wow!!!" Those were my words! And well 3 months later we are now all moved in to our new home and actually loving life here! God has been so good! I have to admit I was pretty stressed for the first couple weeks. Going from beautiful Katy, Texas to Midland is a BIG change but it has been so good for us! As you can see I have more time on my hands because I am actually updating my blog! And I have so much more time with my precious kids which I am loving too! My next post will get you caught up with life these days! Enjoy the pics! I am excited to see what God does while we are here in Midland for the next couple of years! (Keep your fingers crossed!) hahaha  :-)

Brayden was in awe of the "big truck" as he called it! It was freezing cold on move in day but we made it through!

Here are a couple pictures of our house right before we started to move things in. I will post pics soon of our house decorated and with all our stuff moved in. We need to hang curtains!!

One of the things that we love about this house is the stone fireplace and the wood crown molding!

Payten decided to make a tent with the boxes and then Brayden was trying to make a tent too but he was too busy sliding on the boxes. Payten is so creative can take some random thing and turn it into something fun!

Where is Payten? Yes, she is under here! Once again....being creative and turning a TON of packing paper into something fun! Even Brayden joined in on this little game!

Payten's Going Away Party at School

Payten's preschool class had a going away party for her on her last day of school! Payten loves all her friends in her class and was so sad to leave them. She asks all the time when we will be able to go back and visit. Payten's best friends were Jailee, Brooke and Blaire. The boys she liked were Luke, Mark and Bry. I think a couple of the boys had a small crush on her and I think she liked them too. If I mentioned Mark or Bry she would get this goofy grin on her face and get all red. I told her no liking boys until she gets a little older! Preschool is too young to have crushes! :) Right??? She not only loved all her classmates but also her teachers. Mrs. Alison was the best teacher ever! We loved her!!! Mommy brought cookies, cupcakes and juice boxes to her party. All her friends were sad to see her leave. It even made me tear up seeing her go around and hug each one of them and say goodbye. I am so sad too because this morning when I went to upload the pictures from her party I noticed that a lot of them were missing. I guess I accidentally deleted them! :( I am so sad because the pictures I deleted were really cute. Before Payten left all her classmates came up at once and gave her a huge hug and I got a couple pictures of Payten and then all her friends around her. She was laughing so hard and was so happy. We will miss His Kids Preschool! It was a great preschool! We made great friends there!

Christmas with Mike and Jan!

Gramma Jan and Grandpa Mike came to Katy to celebrate Christmas with us this year! They came down  on Christmas and we had dinner and then opened presents. I just love this picture of Payten with Gramma Jan and Grandpa Mike! We had such a fun time with them! Gramma Jan and Grandpa Mike got Payten a Fur Real Dog this year and she was beyond excited to open it. She wanted one sooo bad. On Christmas morning she said, "mommy, I guess Santa didn't bring me my dog." She was pretty sad about it but I told her that Christmas wasn't over yet. So when she started to open the big box she was glowing with excitement! I was so happy for her!!! Brayden got the Toy Story Buzz which he loves!!!  He loves to play with his Toy Story toys......and so does Payten! :) Thank you Mike and Jan for a wonderful time!!!

Gramma Jan took Payten and Kennedi to see the movie Repunzel a couple months ago. Payten loved the movie and since then has gotten the Repunzel Barbie Doll and then Mike and Jan got her the Repunzel hair for Christmas. She has so much fun wearing it. She always talks about her hair being long like Repunzel hair. She says she wants to grow her hair long like Repunzel. But when she has her hair on you can tell she feels pretty special! :)

Swinging her Repunzel hair around! What fun!
