Answered Prayer

Just wanted to let everyone know that for three days the Pregler family has been on a very strict routine and IT'S WORKING WONDERFULLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) And Payten has been in bed by 8:00, lights out. We cut out her afternoon nap, which is fine because we now have quiet time. She usually lays down on in our bed and watches The Mickey Mouse Club. That is her favorite show right now. She is really into Mickey and Minnie. :) I think it is pretty cute b/c I loved Minnie Mouse when I was a little girl. I can't wait to take her to Disney World. Okay....so we have dinner at 5:30, we play until 6:45 and then by 7:00 she is in the bath tub. After the bath tub we brush her hair and teeth, get a drink of water, and then I now read her the bible from 7:30 in her big girl bed and then I let her know that at 8:00 the lights are going out and it is time for bed. She loves reading her "Jesus" bible. That is what she calls it. We also say our prayers before we go to bed and it is so cute to see her put her hands together, shut her eyes and say, "dear Jesus". It melts my heart. and then tonight I was praying and she was just watching me and she said, "love you Jesus.....amen." I am so happy that she loves the Lord at age 2 and I hope that I can show her through my every day life that I love Jesus too! WILD HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every morning I joke with her......telling her that she has big huge rats in her hair. She really thinks.... literally real rats. :) Payten has developed a love for looking at Baby Kennedi on the blog. She loves to come in the computer room and use the mouse to go through "baby tennedi" picutures. She loves the one that Aunt Brooke is in...the one of them on the swing. And she really is fascinated with her adorable bows. She is always telling me to look. I think she is hinting that she wants some big bows too! :)

HELP!!!!!!! :)

Little Miss Payten has decided that she no longer wants to sleep..... period!!!! The last three nights have been absolutely a nightmare! She will not stay in her crib. She refuses to lay her head down.....and she will instantly climb out the second you put her in it. I have spent many hours looking up information on the internet and trying to find out what I can do to get her to go to sleep. She hasn't napped in four days and Matt and I spend over 3 hours battling her to go to sleep at night. We have tried rocking her MANY times, loving her, calmly pleading with her to be quiet and go to bed, spanking her (that definitely doesn't work), time out, putting her in her big girl bed....that lasted a few minutes but the second we left the room she went crazy and climbs out and comes running up the stairs to play!!!!!! We had Matt's Christmas party tonight and she spent the evening at my boss's house from the YMCA...she never went to sleep there and she is now asleep in our bed..... it's 1:05a.m.!!!!! She finally gave up....Matt and I have about 6 inches of the bed and she has the other 10! :) I am scared to move her b/c if she wakes up no telling what will happen! :) Anyway.....we are going to make some adjustments at our house. First thing is we are going to get on a strict routine at night. No more staying up until mommy and daddy go to bed stuff.....we are now going to eat dinner, let her play for an hour or so, take a bath, and then have some quiet time before bed.....bed time will now be at 8:00... NO LATER!!!! So Grandma's when we come to visit for Christmas......you better obey the strict schedule! haha If anyone has advice on toddlers and sleeping issues, PLEASE let me know. Matt and I are in desperate need of a good nights sleep!!! Also keep us in your prayers and specifically pray that God gives me more patience...because ladies the past few days I could have used a little more of God's grace and mercy!! :)

Body Combat Training

Body Combat training was amazing, and was the most exhausting weekend I have had in a VERY long time. It was the entire weekend 8 hour days.....working out the ENTIRE time!!! I passed and got me certification with flying colors. I had to memorize the entire Body Combat 55 minute program and present it in front of my other teammates. I was soooo nervous but by Sunday night I was over any previous fears I had had of being front and center! Not only did they work us hard, Saturday morning at 8 a.m. we had to go through a BC Boot Camp! Have I mentioned I lost almost 5 pounds this weekend? :) I guess the things in life that are most challenging usually will be the most rewarding!!!! (I think that is how it goes) Anyway, I am scheduled to teach my first class this Sunday. Meme came to visit and help with taking care of Paytie. Thursday after we picked her up from the airport we went to the Galleria and ate at The Cheesecake Factory and Meme took us shopping. We stopped in at Pottery Barn to look at a couple things and Payten had to have the PB stroller. It is very nice and should last her a long time. Thanks Meme!!!!! Payten and Meme also went to Chuck E Cheese's twice!!! :) They went to the park and played outside, took a couple walks and ate ice cream. She was pretty upset when we had to drop Meme off at the airport. I reassured her that we would see her again very soon. Thanks again Meme for being so good to us!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We had such a wonderful time in Oklahoma visiting with everyone and eating way too much! We love our families dearly and we are already looking forward to the trip home for Christmas. Thanks again for giving us places to sleep and for making our bellies extra happy!!!!!!! :) Did I mention how much I love to eat??? My favorite food lately has been corn and mashed potatoes and there was plenty corn and mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving Day. I love my Meme. We had so much fun together. Here we are after she got done cooking. I decided to give her a hug and thank her for making us some yummy food. She looked like she needed a hug!!! haha just kidding mom.....you look fabulous in this picture. :)

Here is Mommy and me cuddling on the couch together. We were both soooo full from all the good food that we needed to rest for a few minutes. It was almost time for my afternoon nap, but I was fighting it because I didn't want to miss any of the action. My good friend Ady came to visit me for a while. We had so much fun and played so well the entire time. We chased each other around the house and played dominoes. Oh ya, and we also read some of the sale ads for the day after Thanksgiving. Ady and I especially liked the Toys R Us ad. They had lots of neat Dora toys for sale. I was so sad to see her go that I decided I would get all upset and cry. After about 5 minutes I forgot what I was crying about and started playing again. :) Family Photo. It is so hard for me to calm down and sit still for 2 seconds. I hate taking pictures and I like to see my mom get all excited.
My Daddy is swinging me around in this picture and of course Mom had her camera right there hoping to get a cute picture. Here I am with Aunt JJ's boots on. They fit perfectly! I am with out a doubt 100% girl. I love shoes, especially sassy boots with lots of style. :) "Bye Bye" Memaw.....thanks for all the good food. We enjoyed visiting with you!

More Thanksgiving Pics

Me and my Uncle Colin. I have the best uncles in the whole wide world! They love to play with me and make me laugh. Here is Grandpa reading me a book about animals. He thought he was scaring me by making lion noises.....but I thought it was pretty funny. I wasn't scared at all. :) Gramma Jan and me are playing the piano together in this picture. I could never learn how to gently press the keys..... I like to bang on the keys and make lots of annoying loud noises!!!!!! It was so much fun.

I love my cousin, Kennedi! She is so much fun to look at. I can't wait until she can play with me!!!! We are going to share our toys and always be nice to each other!! :) That Uncle Chris!!!!! Is it time to eat yet???

Beautiful Day!!!!

Friday afternoon was such a beautiful day outside. The temperature was in the 80's, a slight breeze and sunny. We decided to go to the park and play. She had so much fun running around like a crazy person!!!! She can definitely do everything the big kids are doing. She will climb everything with no fear so I have to stay close just to make sure she doesn't fall off of anything. Her favorite toy is the curved slide. She will do it again and again. Then she wants to go swing and then she wants to climb...... and then it starts all over again. We were at the park for almost 1 1/2 hours and I told her that it was time to go.... and she looked at me, grabbed my hand and followed me home. I was so proud that she didn't get upset. She knows that we will be back to play in the park soon. One more thing that is so cute that she said tonight while we were playing.... We were on the floor playing and all of a sudden she jumped up, put her baby in the baby stroller and then said, "bye, mommy, bye". I said Payten where are you going and she looked at me with a straight face and said, "Macy's." I couldn't believe it!!!! I couldn't help but start laughing at her. We always go to the Galleria and go shopping when my mom is in town and we say we are going to go to Macy's, so she must have heard us talking about Macy's...... Kids say the cutest things! :)

Trick-or-Treat

We had such a fun time trick-or-treating tonight. Payten really understood what was going on. All day long I kept telling her that tonight she was going to get all dressed up in her lady bug costume and we are going to go walking around the neighborhood getting candy from all the neighbors. About 6:30, we started getting ready and she was clapping her hands, yelling, "yaaaa", and couldn't hardly wait to go outside. I was really impressed with her trick-or-treating skills. Before we left to start our journey for the best candy, I prepped her on what to do.... ring the door bell, say "trick-or-treat" and then say thank you and then walk away and go to the next house with their light on. She got it down by the second house and now we have a HUGE amount of candy that I don't know what to do with. We have been really trying to cut out the sugar around our house, since I am now officially on my way to being an aerobics instructor!!!! I need to look my best so everyone will want to come to my clasees!! :) Anyway, it was the best weather ever tonight. After we got back Daddy and Payten played football in the street and I continued to hand out candy. Her favorite candy was M&M's and a Dora the Explorer sucker. :) So here is a list of Payten's favorite things. I want to start doing this so I won't forget all the things she loved at age 2: 1. Airplanes (She will randomly start talking about them and my mom and dad got her a remote controll airplane and she LOVES it!!!!) 2. Jesus (The other night she couldn't sleep so I got her up and we went and looked at the stars. All of a sudden she pointed to the sky and said, "Jesus". It was the cutest thing, so I started telling her how Jesus made the stars and the night sky. She listened so intently. And another thing she has started doing is making me sing a Jesus song before she goes to bed while I am rocking her. She will be lying there is my arms, and say, "sing....Jesus". She gets a smile on her face when I start singing about how much Jesus loves her. She just soaks it all in.) 3. Eggos (About a month ago I bought a box of Eggos from the store. And now she cannot go a day without eating an Eggo my Leggo!! :) I toast them in the toaster, put a little butter and then cut them up and she LOVES them. Every morning when she wakes up the first thing that comes out of her mouth is, "Eggos". That is usually our breakfast every morning. :) 4. Nala (Nala and Payten have become the best of friends. They play together every day while I am getting ready or cooking dinner. When Payten was sick a couple of weeks ago, she would just lay on the floor and watch Dora or Nemo and Nala would come up and lay next to her. Payten would pet her and love on her and Nala would roll around and start purring. Nala has never once been mean to her, maybe a little frustrated, but never mean. They play chase around the house and it is so cute to watch. Payten calls Nala, "my kitty". :) One more thing... the other night Paytie got invited to a costume party. She had so much fun playing with Charlie and Avery. When we were on the way to the party, the moon was very bright and full. She noticed how pretty it was and started talking about it. Then the moon went behind some trees.....I said, "Payten where did the moon go"? And she looked at me with the most serious face and said, "It went night night." Matt and I were cracking up. The minds of a two year old!! :)
