Our New Home

I have had lots of my friends and family suggest that I put pics of our house on here.... I am finally getting around to it. Little miss Paytie is taking a nap right now, so I try to update my blog when she is sleeping. I am so excited.... This morning I went to a bible study at Second Baptist Church. It was sooo amazing and encouranging. I met a lot of really nice women. The title of the study is Joy of Living. (I Corinthians) It is every Tuesday for two hours until May!! We met in small group for one hour and then all the groups met up and had a speaker for the last hour. I learned that God will put people, situations, etc... in my life to teach me character!!! Also, I learned about God's character and how it will be brought out in my life as I grow in Him!! Okay, enough preaching... :) I am excited to get involved and meet other women that can influence my life in a positive way!! That is very important.

Payten's New Friend

Okay, so Matt and I know what we are getting Payten for her 2nd birthday!!! Yep, a hummer!! :) She LOVES to ride in the hummer with her new friend Zenden. (He is also 2 years old.) They rode around the neighborhood all day today. It is great because we live at the end of the street so hardly any cars come by our house. She had a smile on her face the whole time and was having the time of her life. On Friday's Paytie and I have a play date with some friends in our neighborhood. We go to Chick-Fi-La and then take the food to the park and let the kids play until nap time. Payten loves the park. If it is sunny outside, you can almost bet we are at the park!!!! She loves to swing, play on the slide, and run around with all of her friends. I think Paytie likes her new home!!! :) (Although we miss our families)

I love hiding under my bed!!!!

Payten has found a great hiding place!!!!
Every time I tell her that we are going to change her diaper, get ready for bed, or change her clothes, she immediately darts underneath her crib!!! She thinks daddy and I can't see her, even though her feet are hanging out.
It's a fun game!!! :) The other night I couldn't find Matt or Payten. Guess where they were??? You got it. Hiding under Paytie's bed!!!!! Oh the joys of being a toddler!!!!

Our Little Sleeping Beauty (Who no longer likes to sleep!!)

Awwww.... she is finally sleeping!!!!!! Since we have been in Texas, our little Paytie has decided that she doesn't want to go to sleep until mommy and daddy go to sleep! I have been rocking her everynight, but that does not seem to help the problem. What do I do? :) Tonight Matt and I were hanging some pictures on the wall, and she was just too excited to settle down and get ready for bed time. I finally got her settled down and in bed around 9:30 p.m. I remember when she was fast asleep by 7:30 p.m. Those were the days when Matt and I just about had the whole evening to ourselves. Oh well, I can't complain, because Paytie is so much fun to play with these days!!! :) As you can see from the picture next to me, she loves to keep her blanket in her face. Every night I go and check on her before I go to bed, and I always have to place her blanket next to her. (She is already set in her ways!!) She also likes to chew her blanket. It has six holes in it!!! I am so excited because the store that the blanket came from is ordering more, so when they come in, I am going to by 2 or 3. Her poor little blanket (or rag) isn't going to make it much longer!! Here is my wonderful hubby working so hard to put my shoe rack together after he had to go into work for practically the whole day!!! Tonight we went to Hasta La Pasta for dinner! It was sooooo yummy! And Payten was soooo good too!! I got to eat my whole dinner while she sat in her high chair and colored. Okay.... she also watched Veggie Tales on her new portable dvd player! (Well, it kept her in the high chair the whole time and she didn't even try to get out of it until we were leaving.)

One more thing...

I just wanted to tell everyone thanks for the wonderful Christmas. We had such a great time. Payten is now enjoying all her awesome toys that make all kinds of LOUD noises!!! She is now a pro at riding a horse!!! She also knows how to cook all sorts of good stuff.
Thanks again for making our Christmas a great one. We will miss everyone, but hopefully we will be back to visit soon! :)

Christmas 2006

I am finally getting around to gettting a blog!!!! I was going to do this a while ago, but I'm sure everone that checks this already knows that I have been pretty busy these past few weeks!!! Christmas game and went, and so has the move to Katy, Texas. It has been great so far! I must say it is pretty nice to wear capri pants and a sleeveless shirt to Home Depot in January! (I think we have gone to Home Depot about twent times in one week.) We went to a great church today. (Second Baptist Church) The music and the preaching was wonderful! We are looking forward to getting involved in a bible study and getting to know other young couples. (Hopefully with kids) :) Payten had a nice surprise when we took her to her sunday school class. She LOVES watching Veggie Tales, and guess who was walking around outside her class?? Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber!!!!! Payten was so excited, she was screaming and laughing as loud as she could! She could hardly contain herself. Matt and I both agreed we have never seen her more excited than how she was today. It was the cutest thing! (These guys are like celebrities to an 18 month old) Well it is 1:00 in the morning so I better quit typing and get some sleep. Jan is coming in the morning for a few days. We are going to go furniture shopping and one night she is going to watch Paytie so Matt and I can go eat without having to entertain a little one!! :)

Life in Katy, Texas
