San Antonio Trip

This summer we took a trip to San Antonio (one of our favorite spots) and stayed at the most amazing resort ever....the JW Marriott. We had the best time besides the fact that I was sick to my stomach the entire time...I tried my best to ignore the symptoms. We went to Six Flags one day and that was super fun! Payten got to ride her very first upside down roller coaster withe her daddy. Matt said that everyone in line was talking about how that little girl was not even scared. She wasn't scared at all Matt said, just really excited. I was pretty nervous watching from below, but she made it off safe and sound. She wanted to do it again, mommy said one time was enough for now. Brayden had lots of fun riding all the kiddie rides. He likes the train too that takes you all around the park. We all got to ride the log ride together and Payten of course LOVED it and Brayden wasn't so sure. We stayed at our resort one day and played at the water park all day. It had a lazy river and literally we all floated happily for a couple hours on tubes just relaxing. At night we got to make smores and there was even a movie night. We also went to the River Walk one day and walked around and ate mexican food on the river. (well Matt ate mexican food....while I sat there and ate a tiny little side salad hoping to not have to go the bath room afterwards....tmi I know but it was awful!) I just love spending quality time with my family. It was a great trip and hopefully we can do it again soon! 

Payten's Dance Recital

Payten did tap/ballet this spring and had her dance recital  the end of May.  She  enjoyed her dance class and had lots of fun dancing and playing with new friends. Her dance recital was so much fun. I was so proud of her! She danced two dances and knew most of the routine. And then at times she would be dancing and watching her neighbor to see what to do next. It was pretty funny! Daddy and Brayden gave her flowers after her performance. She was excited and loved them. I asked Payten if she wanted me to sign her up for dance in the fall and she said, "no mommy, I really want to be on the swim team". So I said okay. I was kinda sad because I love watching her get all dressed up, but she says she wants to do soccer and swim team in the fall. I am hoping that maybe next spring she will want to do it again. The girl just LOVES to swim and play! :) She is little miss athletic girl....which is fine with her mommy and daddy! :)

I just love this picture of Payten. She was so excited about having makeup on! And mommy tried really hard to fix her hair all curly and pretty, but her hair is soooo fine I couldn't get the curls to stick....she looked so pretty!
