Fall Photos 2009

Today we went to a pumpkin patch near our house. It was super muddy and right when we got there Payten fell in the mud....she started to cry because she was upset but I reminded her that we were going to ride the ponies once mommy got a couple pictures....and then she forgot all about the mud that was literally all over her pants. We had a great time and Payten loved riding the ponies and she also got to walk a pony around an obstacle course. Matt and I really enjoyed getting to watch her get so excited about seeing all the animals. After we took some pics and walked around we went and ate lunch at the old place called, Clay's. You sit outside and then have a petting zoo right there. The weather was perfect and so was the food. We got fried zucchini to start it off and then chicken fingers, mashed potatoes and green beans. It was really yummy! Tonight we are going to cook out with all of our neighbors and then take the kids trick or treating too. It is going to be a fun night. :)

What has Brayden been up too lately?

Being a silly little monkey! I will post more pics of Halloween after this weekend. As you can tell he just loves his costume. haha Using his walker. He just takes off...it is sooo cute to see him walking. He is trying really hard. Hopefully he will be walking soon. Playing in the pots and pans. Matt and I remembered how much Payten enjoyed playing with them so I got some out the other day while I was cooking dinner and it kept him pretty entertained and I was able to cook dinner...without holding him. :) Playing at the park with my cousin, Cole and sisy. He loves to swing!!! It has been so beautiful here so he has been getting to swing a lot lately. Taking walks with Cole in the jogging stroller. He loves to take walks....and get some fresh air. Wanting his sissy's attention!!!! All the time! Brayden loves to play with her and doesn't understand if she doesn't want to play with him. She is drying her hair after bath time and he just kept pulling on her pj's wanting to play. He loves her soooo much! Riding in the jeep with Payten. He loves to stroll around in the jeep....he just smiles and laughs and thinks he is pretty big stuff! There isn't any traffic on our street so it is nice because they can ride around and we don't have to worry about a lot of cars driving by. Posing for the camera. He does such a good job smiling for the camera. Now if I can just get him to sit still and smile at the same time! Maybe in a few months....oh ya, then he will be walking. Smiling after nap time. I went in to see if he was awake after a Sunday afternoon nap and he was standing up smiling ready to play. I thought this pic was pretty cute because you can see his teeth. He has 6 of them. 4 on top and 2 on bottom. Playing with Perri.....we were over at some friends house and they had a play BMW car and Brayden LOVED it. He loves to play all the time! Hanging out with mommy....He loves me and I love him so much. He is such a wonderful little boy....most the time. He gets demanding sometimes and wants my attention, but overall such a blessing. Again.....swinging at the park enjoying the beautiful weather. It is so nice that we have a park so close to our house. We got Brayden a wagon for his birthday so we will soon be taking wagon rides to the park. What fun! haha Riding a horse! Payten's horse that memaw and Papaw got her for Christmas a couple years ago...he loves it and so does Payten. They fight over it sometimes. She pretends that it is a real horse, drags it around the house and he just wants to ride it. It gets pretty good use at our house!!! :) My kids love animals!!! Playing in the backyard.....and eating grass. Yummy! Watching sister jump on the trampoline. He longs for the day he can jump with her. Only a few more months and I think he will be strong enough. He just loves to watch her jump! Pulling hair. Have I mentioned that he loves to pull hair and rip it out. I think I have a couple spots on my head that you can see my scalp pretty clearly! haha And Payten always complains and yells that he is pulling her hair. It is pretty funny. He doesn't mean too, but man he has a death grip! Yummy Yummy! I love to eat. His favorite foods are baked fish, mashed potatoes with chopped up broccoli, chili, taco soup and grilled cheese!! He is such a good eater. And Matt and I both agree the child eats more than Payten. He is still pretty thin and lean. Has a little chunk around his thighs which I love to grab! haha

Dewberry Farms Pumpkin Patch

A couple weeks ago we took a trip to the Pumpkin Patch! And boy was it fun! Payten loved it and was really upset when we left so I promised her we would go back before it closed in November. We went during the week and the pony rides were closed so that is another reason we will go back again when they are open on the weekend.....Payten was really looking forward to riding a pony, so I will hopefully post pics of that soon. There was lots to do at the farm. Payten and Brayden got to feed the goats and Payten chased the geese around and eventually got "goosed" on the bottom! It didn't hurt her, but it did scare her a little bit. And while I was taking pictures of the kids one came up and got me on the bottom too. Didn't really hurt but surprised me! We had a great time! I love this time of year! And usually it is getting cooler this time of year but not if you live in Houston. The day we went to the pumpkin patch it was 92 degrees! The wind was blowing so that definitely helped but made for bad pictures. There were so many cute pics I took of Payten but most of them her hair was in her face due to the wind!!! Below are a lot of pics I took that day. I tried really hard to get a good pic of both of the kids together but Brayden is at that stage right now where it is super hard to sit still for just 2 seconds. Happy Fall Y'all!!!
