Payten's Ballet Recital

Payten attends ballet class at her preschool every Tuesday afternoon. They have a recital in November and then another one in the spring. Payten loves dance. She did dance last year and liked it but didn't really talk about it or anything. This year she really seems to love it. Her friends Brooke and Jailee are in the same class and I know they have a blast together. Payten did SOOO good at her recital! I was almost in tears watching her on stage try so hard. She knew the entire song and mommy was so proud of her. Daddy had an important meeting and was really sad to miss it so it was just mommy there to watch her. That is one of the sad parts of not living close to grandparents and close family. I know that Payten would have loved all of our families to come and watch her dance, but unfortunately that can't happen when we live 500 miles apart. Mommy always lets her wear makeup and glitter on recital days. She woke up and was ready to put on her makeup! She looked like a princess!!!! ***(Don't forget you can click the picture to enlarge it and read below. I have posted A LOT of other posts tonight. LONG OVERDUE! I am trying to get caught up before the New Year!)

After the recital I helped her change into her school clothes and take her back to class and since I had my camera with me I wanted to snap a few shots of her doing her morning work. She was happy that mommy got to come into the classroom with her. She LOVES school and doing her work! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of her and all of her accomplishments!

Brayden and the Fire Truck!

A Fire truck came to school one day and we got to take the kids outside to go see it and also to sit on it. Brayden has lots of play fire trucks at home that he plays with so to see one in real life is awesome for him.  Brayden was more than excited about it. He was soo happy when he got his turn on the fire truck. Each kid got their very own fire hat. They were plastic and were torn up within a couple hours but they were fun while they lasted. Brayden was in awe of the fire truck. He just stared the entire time at it. The fire guys had extended the ladder all the way out so it was pretty neat to see it like that.  It was a fun little field trip for the toddler bunch! Doesn't Brayden look so grown up in these pictures? He is a big boy now!

Trick or Treat

I figured since tomorrow is Christmas I should probably update my blog with pictures from October and November. haha We had a wonderful Halloween this year. The weather was perfect and we had a fun cookout with our neighbors! The kids got to play and trick or treat around our neighborhood. After only an hour of going house to house we called it a night due to both the kids bags being completely full of candy. We have the candy at the top of our pantry and we will get it out every once in a while for an after dinner treat. Matt likes all the Starburst, Skittles, etc.... And give me ALL the chocolate. :) Payten was Belle from Beauty and the Beast and Brayden was Nemo from Finding Nemo. They both loved their costumes!!!!!!! It was a great night!

Brayden was set and  ready to trick or treat for his first time!

Payten is the BEST big sissy! She was explaining to Brayden that you have to say, "trick or treat to get candy." He learned that phrase pretty quick and said it every time we would walk up to a house. It was SOOO cute to hear him say, "twick or tweat!" :)

Mom......"are we done yet????"
