YMCA Fall Festival 2008

Friday night was the YMCA Fall Festival. We had a lot of fun. It was extremely crowded so it was hard to get around, but we managed to do all the fun stuff. Payten got to trick or treat and got lots of candy. She also got to decorate and eat her very own cookie, have her face painted and got to go down the blow up slide twice. She could of handled a couple more times going down the slide but the line was long and Daddy was getting hungry. :) After the festival we made a stop into Chick-Fil-A and had dinner. We let Payten play on the play ground for about 30 minutes while Matt and I watched her and peacefully ate our food. She was really hyper so we thought letting her get some energy out before going home would be a good idea. Getting her ready for this thing was a total mess. Read the post below for more details. :) Also, there is a video of her going down the slide at the end of this post. Check it out. My two favorite people in this world. They are soooo cute in this pitcure. Payten loves her daddy so much. He loves her and is so good with her and patient. She is very blessed to have such a good role model in her life. :) Payten eating her cookie after being able t0 decorate it. She put lots of icing on there and then her favorite....sprinkles.

I HATE pig tails

I cannot express enough how much this girl HATES piggy tails. I think they are adorable.....but Payten thinks they are evil. :) Seriously. Getting ready for the fall festival was a night mare!!!!! After about 30 minutes of LOUD screaming and crying from Payten saying that the pig tails "hurt soooo bad" I decided that I was going to take the pig tails out and never mention the words, "Pig Tails" again in our house hold until she is ready. The second I took the rubber bands out and brushed her hair, she was fine and ready to go the festival....needless to say her hair was a disaster and all night long I was constantly making sure her hair was out of her face. I hope one day we can look back and laugh at these pictures......and she will realize how ridicoulous she was acting. :)

The duck pond, helping daddy paint the house and lots of play time!!!

Three times last week we went and took a walk around the neighborhood lake (which is 1 mile around) and fed the ducks. The very first time we went and fed the ducks....they were starving, I think, because they practically were grabbing the food out of our hands. I started to get a little worried that they were going to bite us, but they never did. Of course I didn't have my camera with me so I didn't get it on video. Payten loves to feed the ducks. She thinks they are pretty cute animals. There is a video of her feeding the ducks at the end of this post.

The past couple months we have been working our way through the entire house and painting it a khaki color. Our house was all one color when we moved in and finally we have the whole downstairs painted...except for the study, which I hope to paint soon. Anyway, Payten wanted to help us paint so we let her "help" for a while and she thought she was such a big girl. She loved painting!!!!! She was so proud of the wall she helped her daddy paint. :) She is our little helper.
It has been so beautiful here in the evenings. We go in the backyard and let her play for a while, before taking her bath and then bed time. She is getting really good at hitting the ball off the T. She has natural athletic ability.......from her mom of course!! haha Okay from her daddy too. :) She gets really excited when she hits the ball really far. She will hit the ball, run around and then go get the ball and then hit the ball again.... and again. :) Pretty Cute.

YMCA Baby Shower

The YMCA had a baby shower for me last Tuesday afternoon. It was so much fun and our little baby got so many cute things. This is just half of the group I work with. Everyone was still working so I could only get half of the people in the shot at one time. They had some really great food too. My favorite banana chocolate chip bread and then cake, chips, dip, veggies, fruit and a fruit dip. I got to take home all the leftovers so I think I gained a pound or two in one day. :) Thanks YMCA!!!!! This is my friend Kristy's baby, Rylan. He is way too cute and such a great baby. He never cries and is so laid back. I pray everyday that our little rascal will have a laid back personality....unlike his older sister!!! :) Our little baby boy got lots of diapers, bumbo seat and play tray, lots of really soft blankets, pacifier holder, bottle and baby food cooler, bottle warmer, clothes, wash cloths, baby soaps and baby lotions, bibs, changing pad cover and some Target gift cards. :)

Girls just want to have FUN!

Here are the pictures of Payten and Alayna at the park. I posted two seperate posts so check out the one below this one!

Payten and Alayna

Payten had her best friend, Alayna over to play today. She has been begging for her to come over for a long time so today we finally decided to let the girls play together for a while. Alayna's mommy and me are good friends. We work together at the church and at the YMCA. The girls play together every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the YMCA but that is not enough time. They are inseperable and play together constantly. They love each other and I have never seen them fight once. They always play so well together and amazingly enough share everything. They even share their lunches. We always plan our lunch breaks together and if one wants what the other is having they will split their sandwich or whatever it is in half and share. Payten does not always share this nicely!!! :) Anyway had to share this video....the girls are wanting to go ride the jeep so we are off for a walk and then to the park. I will post more pics and videos soon.
