My little princess got her ears pierced last week when we went to the mall with some friends. We ate at California Pizza Kitchen and then let the kids play. Payten has been talking about getting her ears pierced for quite some time, but Matt and I wanted to wait until she got a little older. When we were at the mall we walked into Claire's and another little girl was getting her ears done, so of course Payten started begging me to let her do it. I called daddy and he okayed it so now she finally has her ears pierced. She loves it!!! And we clean them three times a day and she always reminds me to clean them. She is on top of things. When she was getting her ears pierced she didn't even cry. It didn't phase her in the least. The lady that was doing them was really experienced and said that most girls her age cry... but not Paytie girl! She did such a good job and since getting her ears pierced she has quit sucking her thumb! That was part of the deal and to my surprise she has held up her end of the bargain. Good job Payten!! :)

These are such cute pics of Payten and she is starting to look like such a big girl!! Yay for no thumb sucking!! That's a good bribe for the ear piercing, we may be using it on Perri in a few years haha!! Miss you!
Wow, she does look older! I'd been wondering when the normal age is for girls to get their ears pierced these days. Do most of Payten's 4-yr old friends have their ears pierced? Just curious. It's one of those "girl mom" things I'm clueless about! The way Parker is with pain though and tears coming so easily, I think it will be quite a while before she'll be asking to do that!
What a big girl! I am amazed that she didn't cry at all. What a tough girl. They look so cute and she looks all grown up with her earrings. So cute!
