**Christmas Morning**

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! Okay well I guess it would officially be last year due to the fact that it is now February! haha And almost Valentine's Day! But there is great news. I am almost caught up! I have 2 more posts to go and then I can start blogging about our new adventure in Midland, Texas!!! YAY! I just have to say that we are so blessed! The kids got so many fun things this year and are set on toys for at least a year! NO JOKE! Really! :) It is so much fun seeing the kids get so excited and tear open the wrapping paper. Payten of course had no problem getting her presents unwrapped and Brayden didn't either this year. Last Christmas he had just turned one so this year he was two and ready to rip through the paper! I got Matt a couple watches for Christmas. One casual and one dressy.  And then Matt got me my neclace that has a pearl with my kids names on it. I LOVE it and wear it all the time! And he also got me a devotional book that we are now reading together and then The Willow Tree Couple. (the husband holding the wife) I have to say I  got a little teary! He did so good and it meant so much to me that he picked this out all on his own. Again, I am so blessed to have an amazing husband and two healthy children. Christmas to me is not about presents anymore......yes presents are great but to me Christmas is making memories with your family, enjoying each other and teaching your children about the true meaning of why we even celebrate Christmas!

There are lots of pictures to see of the kiddos on Christmas morning! Brayden was beyond excited to get Woody from Toy Story! He loves Toy Story and Payten was excited to get Beauty and the Beast and then her special ring from daddy!  The kids didn't get any big stuff this year. Just a lot of games, clothes, books, movies and small things.

Chris and Jennifer had us over Christmas morning to eat Happy Birthday Jesus cake and the best breakfast I have had in a long time! We had so much fun visiting and eating! :)

And here is Matt and Chris! Chris worked so hard on Christmas morning making homemade french toast! It was amazing! And Jenn made the most amazing breakfast quiche! YUM YUM! :) Thanks guys for having us over to celebrate our Saviors birth.

The Night Before Christmas....

Payten and I started the tradition last year that we would bake homemade cookies for Santa every year the night before Christmas. She is a great helper but mostly loves to help eat the cookie dough. I don't blame her though.....that is my favorite part about baking homemade cookies too! I could seriously just get sick from eating all the dough! Her favorite thing is to break the eggs and then to stir everything together. Mommy has so much fun baking with her! I love this first picture! She is sooo happy and then there is some dough on her nose!

"Mom, I can't stop"!!!!

Yum Yum Yum!!!! This dough is sooooo good! :)

Payten wanted to draw Santa Clause a couple pictures this year. This picture is her and Santa and Brayden. She drew this all by herself!

Another picture she drew for Santa Clause. I believe this is a picture of Santa Clause. I guess in her mind Santa has extremely large ears! haha TOO cute! :)

Payten pretending to be a reindeer!

Everything layed out for Santa. Oh and Payten wanted to leave Almond Milk for Santa this year. That is what she drinks now and Daddy gave her the idea that Santa would remember her house because she leaves cookies and Almond Milk. Everyone else leaves regular milk for Santa to drink, but Payten leaves Almond Milk!!!! hehe Good idea daddy!

After baking cookies, she said she was really tired and that she was going to sleep on the floor. She layed there for a few minutes until I told her that Santa Clause wouldn't come unless she was tucked away and fast asleep in her bed. I've never seen her more excited to get into her own bed! :)

Pretending to be asleep....

Nope....not alsleep yet! She was too excited for Santa Clause to come down her chimney and drop off all her presents!

Oh goodness! What are we going to do with this silly little girl???
